Easter and green chocolate
The color green is traditionally associated with spring, growth, and renewal. It is the color of new life awakening in nature after a long winter. In the context of Easter, the color green can remind not only of the renewal of nature, but also of the hope and new beginnings that Easter symbolizes.
How is green chocolate made? It can be colored with dyes, but that is not our case. We chose a different path! We added premium Japanese green tea Matcha Kotobuki to the white chocolate. This created chocolate with a unique color and taste.
Green chocolate can be an original and funny gift for Easter. It is a way to add a little color and unexpected surprise to holiday celebrations and the spring season.
Matcha Kotobuki
Matcha Kotobuki is one of the highest grades of Matcha green tea, originating in Japan. It is valued for its excellent quality, rich flavor and vibrant green color. The word "Kotobuki" in Japanese means "longevity" or "lucky fate", reflecting the high esteem that this type of tea has in Japanese culture. Matcha Kotobuki is made from carefully selected tea leaves, known as Tencha, which are shaded for several weeks before harvest to increase their chlorophyll content and reduce bitterness.
The process of making Matcha Kotobuki is an art in itself. After harvesting, the Tencha leaves are dried and then the stems and veins are removed to leave only the best and most delicate parts of the leaf. These leaves are then slowly ground into a very fine powder using stone mills, a process that can take up to an hour to prepare just 30 grams of tea. This slow grinding process helps preserve the delicate aroma and flavor profile of Matcha Kotobuki.
Matcha Kotobuki is characterized by a rich, complex flavor with subtle umami nuances, a light sweetness, and almost no bitterness. Its texture is silky smooth. Due to its high quality and intense flavor, Matcha Kotobuki is often used in tea ceremonies, where the preparation and serving of the tea is carried out with great ceremonial care and respect.
In addition to its unique flavor profile, Matcha Kotobuki is also highly regarded for its health benefits. It contains a large number of antioxidants, amino acids and other substances that support the health of the body and mind. It is known to help improve concentration, increase energy and promote overall well-being.
Thanks to its exceptional quality and health benefits, Matcha Kotobuki has become a favorite not only in Japan, but around the world among tea lovers and all those seeking a healthy lifestyle. Although more expensive than other types of Matcha green tea, for many, Matcha Kotobuki represents a combination of culinary delight and health benefits that is worth it.
